Yes if you throttle the volts going to your fan you will decrease its static pressure rating. The better the fan the lower the rating drop though. In general compare the static pressure with its noise. Get the one that has the lowest ratio.


1 inch = 2.54cm = 25.4 mm

well the site says the pana has a rating of 6.8 mm of water. u have to use the law or porportions i think...

(1"/25.4mm)=(x"/6.8mm)
or 6.8=25.4x
or x=6.8/25.4
or x=.26777

chip recommends a fan with at least .20" of h20. this fan makes it easy.
