I got the Marine junction box at Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse. I live in Connecticut. They also have them at Home Depot.
My drill press is fairly cheap as well, Delta 8" model. The end mill goes through the copper pretty easily, I used 1750 rpm's. Be patient though, do not try to force it. You need to have a small vise to hold the copper in place on the drill press and use lubricant to keep things cool, I used WD-40. It took me about 45 minutes to mill my pattern on the block, which is 1/2 " copper. I then soldered on a 1/4" cap piece and sanded the excess solder off and polished it, then drilled and tapped 1/4" NPT holes for the barbs.
