The "res" is 18 inches tall and is made from 28mm copper tubing, on the top I'm putting a "stop-end compression fitting", in case I need to move the case I'll only need to tighten this up and it will be a completely sealed unit. The shroud I made from brass, so with everything outside the case being made from either copper or brass his should help a bit in assisting the fans by dispersing the heat to the air.
The system I have at the moment has a "Land Rover" heater core, which is mounted outside the case in its original car box. with pump & res attached.
The biggest limiting factor that hits me with temps is the size of the room my PCs are in which measures 9' X 9', so doesn't take too long to warm up.
