my vote had to go out to the WD 120JB.
I've got 2 of these drives in raid0 and I couldn't be happier.
The next HD's I but will be SATA so I can benefit from my IT7 max2 and will prob be like 200 GB and 8MB buffer.
10k would nice too.
basically if the seek times of the largest drive are the same or really close to the fastest drive, I'm game.
I know the WD SE drives aren't "the best" ever, but I'm pretty happy with the biggest/fastest IDE drive I've seen at the time of purchase ( in june).
If I had too much $ to blow, I'd do SCSI in raid 0 (or 0+1) but I can't afford 240 GB of SCSI drives.

My only PC is a PII 333 with 256MB RAM a GeForce2 MX 200, and 30GB's of 7,200rpm ATA/66 goodness. And yes, I know it sucks.
