Banned from [H] and proud of it!
I had to check out what all the huffing and puffing was about. Notice that there really isn't much meat in the review: most of it seems to be info fed from Intel. Note how they put down the availability of AMD Athlon's: is [H] going to turn into an anti-AMD site?
The problem I have with the corrected graph, is that it goes to the credibility of the whole article. If they replaced an "8" with a "3", was it because of a typo (since the graphs are hand-made) or was it an eyeball adjustment because they had benchmark issues that didn't provide realistic data? I don't know.
I really don't know if they got any kind of kickback for posting that review. If they did, then the credibility is again in question. Since they didn't state how they picked it up (but let's face it, they got an early release, as part of a major promotion effort) then there is at least that kickback. The Intel banner is definitely a kickback too, there's no doubt there.
As for the bannings, It's really simple: here in the US, the constitution grants us the freedom of speech. If [H] bans people for criticizing them, which they are perfectly within their rights to do, then they are not following the spirit of what our forefathers meant for us to live in. [H] is a dictatorship, and Steve/Kyle can best be compared to Castro in Cuba.
In that light, Cuba has been isolated from the rest of the world, and left to wither. Much the same will eventually happen to [H], and in fact may be happening right now, which would explain the desperate grabs at kickbacks. Money makes people act funny.
On a side note, I did get one piece of good info from the article: the heat emited from the 3.06 GHz P4 is 81.8 Watts, higher than any other CPU in history (if my memory is correct). Now why didn't they say anything about that?
