Better yet ask me.

MechCD, needless to say your comment does reek of a lot of misinformation about how industrial products of relatively low volume are made. I dare you to find an OEM radiator (not heater core) with exactly the same proportions and configuration as the Black Ice. That of course is rhetorical because -you won't!

Developing the tool-dies and the production process for the Ice rads took a huge amount of investment. And that will have to be recouped unless we sink into some communist economic regime.

The reason why your average heater core is cheap, is because you've had every vehicle out there that uses it subsidizing its cost. However you do have a bit of an ergonomic issue when it comes to fitting that within your case and doing so seamlessly without seriously hacking into it is one obstacle the Ice tries to work around.

I think it is severely unfair and recklessly arrogant for you to derive such conclusions without putting into consideration the efforts of so many people in developing a product of exceptional quality.

But if price is your problem it is being tackled and it will be tackled soon.

The Black Ice isn't just a heater core, nor does it just have "black fins".

It is apparent that you haven't really gotten to take a look at the Black Ice up close. As you folks would say, don't knock it until you've tried it.

I guess I would understand to an extent why you would think and feel that way. As a consumer, you want the most out of your money. That is a given. But to remove any sense of appreciation for the efforts of people suggests a sense of moral impairment. An application of sobriety is in order.
