Hey, thanks for the reply: Yes the pump is suspended in mid air from the res. It REALLY helps with the vibration and doesn't take up any space that would be used for nothing else
BigBen: I thought about doing that before I made the res, but my case doesn't allow for it. Also, the external one always gets the questions going from people, then when I tell them to take a look and they SEE/hear the water flowing up and spreading across the plexiglass top, then 100000 questions come about how, why, what, etc... it's my own personal "candy."

I'm thinking of getting a larger case with a much thicker gauge aluminum, cause mine is thin and adds to the nasty 60Hz humm from the pump etc... But again I ALWAYS welcome your advice
The block is of my own creation and has done fairly well, but fairly is not good enough so I'm always looking for new ideas. But with NO drill press or milling machine type tools, I'm stuck using hand tools and stuff, which works pretty well, but takes some thinking and TIME! But I'm going to get a drill press soon...any recommendations for around $150? Thanks all
