Thanks LiquidRulez, but as a civil engineering student I am familliar with the x, y and z axes

. I'm also generally familliar with mills as we use one to grind concrete samples in the materials lab I work at in school (for doing chloride profiles) However, as our mill is crappy and doesn't have rotation around any axis I was thrown by the a axis bit.
