18amps should be perfect (if it's continuosly rated) TEC's are optimal at about 70% of their V~Max, any more and you get
very little extra cooling I believe :shrug: ...

CoolHardware Forum if you're interested, there might be an article about it as well I think(???)...
TEC PSU's are the only PITA about pelt' cooling
