BillA!, how are you holding the Cu tube in the block?, I've been wanting to make my own 'barbs' from Cu/brass tube but am not sure what to fix it in with (when it can't be soldered) Lexan for the most. I thought about getting a die for the tube and a tap for enlarging holes but is there enough thickness on Cu pipe to cut a thread into?. I'm not sure...
So what's the best goop to use?

Doh!, is JBweld the best stuff you think?, is there anything better?, is two part epoxy better? (as long as the tube is 'keyed up' enough?)...
