Ok guys. I've said from the beginning that
GlowBottles is just fine for your cooling system and will not hurt it in any way. Well, Chip at Overclock-Watercool had a statement on his site saying that the stuff killed his pumps in testing. I had said that his pumps die on their own without glowbottle's help. So he sent me some glowbottles, and dared me to test it myself. It arrived yesterday, and after some preliminary testing (I poured some into a soda bottle, added water, shook it up, and let it sit for 12 hours to see if anything settled at the bottom, nothin) I poured it into my reservoir.
So far my temps are unchanged, the glow is at least as good as dyelite (I didn't remove the dye-lite, just poured this stuff into my current mix) and all is good. I have a 1 year old Danner pump that looked good when I took it apart 3 months ago for inspection.
I'll update this thread periodically..
So what do you think, will I eat my words, and buy a bunch of new cooling components, or will we finally be able to buy glowbottles and glow in colors besides blue and green for once?
