I got this thing because I plan on watercooling my backup-puter, but I woke up this morning and realized it allowed me to clean out my basically unattended 18month old cooler loop. This loop is a 5 gallon pail with an eheim 1250 submerged in it going to a large heater core that is hung from the trusses below my floor (yeh a couple of holes had to be drilled but they got filled with hose and then covered with some loose fitting carpet). There are also a couple of fans sucking through it. So.....why not clean that out with some chemicals and check to make sure everything still looks good to go????? until now I couldn't shut it down long enough....!!! I took the hoses that exit my chiller and connected them to the TC outlets, crossed my fingers and switched it on. It is so far (all day long) operating at about the same temp as my homemade unit but since I don't monitor the water temps (remember my chiller) it is hard to say. It is very quiet.
The thing on top is where you fill the unit and I noticed a little glow this morning...there is some sort of light that glows up through this inlet, very cute but of no real purpose (that I can see).
