Well, I would think that they would. The look about the same design, I mean several passes of copper tubing (mine is only like 5/16" - 3/8" ID I think... argh) with many, many, MANY fins of aluminum for secondary cooling. I know that of all of the condensor coils I've seen, they have many more fins and thus much more surface area, and many more passes of tubing. I was SUPPOSE to go home this weekend to spiff up my condensor coil, but the weather forced me to stay at school (I don't like for my car to be blown into on coming traffic, or vise versa)... bad winds yesterday/last night/this morning. I'll let you know what kind of increase I get from my heater core to the condensor coil, though..

I have seen others use a condensor coil as well, and without a fan on the thing, have only a 4 deg F raise in water temp using a K6-2.... seems like the way to go, especially considering the price difference between a new trany cooler (raning from $30 to $70), or a <$10 condensor coil.
