find out how much head the pump puts out, that means how much water it could pump straight up, i think

but alomost everyone uses these pumps (not me though, getting my via 1300 today )you'll be fine. if you dont want to butcher you case, did you think of mounting the HC on the outside?

goto amdforums.com and watercooling section and look through the case gallery, get some idea, there is one person that has everything mounted on the outside behind the case, he just made like a little shelf for the pump,
