I think the first possible explanation is probably the reason. It is an original Palimino so I sorta expected that it would cap out pretty quickly. Bummer too, I have great hopes for this chip

I have a conductive pen comming in the mail right now to unlock the Multiplier and an 85W pelt + cold plate to use on the Radeon 9700.

I must say that I am rather *#&$ that I fried my really good OC Radeon and then got this piece of crap. The first one could do 380 core on just water and this one can only do 355.....
I am going to freeze it then volt the hell out of it. If I am lucky, I will be able to get back to where I was with the old one or even better, hit my 400+ mark.


I also just updated to the very latest BIOS. No real differences noticed yet.
