I was always using the text mode in the back ground. Only way I found to run it as a "service" is to use Task Manager to "run when my computer starts".

My problem was that the program had to be babysat; sometimes it would run and others it wouldnt, had to kick start it to get it started, download the updates myself, etc.

Is there a way to manually add a program to the services list in 2K or XP?
