There are 2 parts to solidworks. One is the drawing part and one is called PhotoWorks. PhotoWorks does all the 3D rendering like what bigben posted. My design engineer buddy is coming over tomorrow and showing me how to use SolidWorks2003. He uses it 8hrs a day every day for his job.
