Those pumps look awsome. Very similar to Iwaki. Do you know of a site online you can buy? I know they spec the pump to run quiter than 30db. Do you have any other pumps you could compare to?

pokpok: lots of people like Ehiems, for sometime thats all people would buy. Until people started to find other pumps like iwaki, little giant, and what looks to be another great example above, the Velocity pumps. The 1250 is probably a little underpowered for what you're trying to do. It's always easier to decrease flow on a pump, rather than having to buy a new pump cause it doesn't have enough flow. However, looks like the Velocities dump a huge amount of heat into the water? I have the Danner Mag 5, which only dumps bout 50watts. good luck
