Which version do you have? They sold 4 versions that I know of and I think there was another recently. All labled Z4, all with the same top but different bases. The tops are anodized to prevent corrosion and the battery effect, and tthey do use aluminum barbs. They do a pretty good job ot "preventing" corrosion. But preventing is only that, expect it to wear through sooner or later.

They had an e design for a while aswell and I am not going to get into how they came up with that.
