I would third the notion. One of the very first water blocks I made (4+ years ago), was coiled copper tubes onto a copper plate. The long copper tubes put way too much leverage and possible bump induced damage into the socket.
The only way you would want to keep those tubes is if you could mount them somewhat solidly to the case frame to prevent any movement, but that also brings some difficulty into aligning it with the socket.
