It's not oxygen, it's air. It's 80% nitrogen, or 70% by weight.

Also:

A: So is air

B: Dry nitrogen is dry, as is dry air.

C: Whether or not you're right about the ionization of nitrogen, it shouldn't matter because dust particles cannot collect in the case if it is sealed.

D: Neither is air

G: Dry nitro might be cheaper than air, so you might be right here. That may be reason enough for your plan.

H: Thermal and thermodynamic properties of air and nitrogen should be very similar

I mean, it's not a bad idea, but if you think nitrogen is some wonder-gas that will work any better than sealing the case with air, you may be disappointed.
