hey doods, im new to procooling . Followed alot of threads in here and links across the web guess ive been doing homework on water cooling for some time.
Decided since florida is so darn hot and the quiet fans aremt cuttin it to take the plunge.
I Just got a buncha parts lined up to setup my first watercooled rig
One of em being this radiator i pulled outa a spare parts van i purchased a few months ago. Its part of a ac cooling rad from a '83 vanagon
heres a couple pics
looking for some opinions on the rad if maybe its to big for an 1048 pump. i got a good deal on the pump and a maze3 with the socket clamp on it (no mb holes) and plan on running a bay res and thats all in the loop for now. ordered half inch goods. suggestions on how to run the loop would be much appreciated.
as far as the rad goes i was gonna try using 3 or 4 very quiet 120's for airflow thru the rad and then lose my 90mm currently guetto rigged to an ax7 also get rid of a big ac powered 120 pabst in my case in the hopes ill end up quieter or as quiet with lower temps. the 90mm is the loudest fan i have and its not really a screamer at that. believe it or not sys is not to loud really just got heat buildup issues! which leads me to another question how long does it take for watercooling temps to level out? Dont wanna come home to smokin cpu
anyway any thoughts or tips would be appreciated
