Fuel line clamps are better than grubscrew type ones as well, they have a small bolt and nut instead of the grubscrew, they don't oval/deform as much and give a better seal, hence why they're used on fuel lines ...

i know that silicone tubing is soft but not that soft that a jubilee clip would pass straight through. i never used 'zip ties' or nylon clamps before but i found jubilee clips very usefull and they do their job very well. But maybe you are right, we could have used something else, but you know, to find something here in malta you have to order it and wait for a week. Our project was due on last saturday, and i am very happy that we managed to achieve all our goals
