Tygon is infinitely more flexible and easy to work with, it doesn't kink nearly as easily, and it doesn't "rot" like most cheap vinyl tubing does. Tygon/Clearflex is teh goods. It is worth the money.
Be aware, though, that if you tighten your clamps too tight it'll cut your tubing (been there done that), so you'll want to wrap the tubing with tape before using the clamp as a protective shield.
