Very interesting. As a "goo", it may be a bit easier to apply, since the force of the HSF/block pressing down on it would push the excess outwards, unlike the AS3 style paste that pretty much sits there. It would appear to be more difficult to apply an ultra-thin layer, though, when using it in conjunction with extremely well lapped surfaces. My suspicion is that it would be better for the non-expert user than AS3 due to ease of "amateur" application, but could be worse for "expert" application.

That's just my take on it, though.
