I was trying to fix an Asus P4T-E because when I turned the system on nothing showed up on the screen. Everything inside was running: fans, m/o light everything even the hard drive. But no short or long beep of any kind. Nothing on the screen at all.
So I checked the manual and checked all my connections and settings. So one mistake. I forgot to remove the power cord from the outlet before checking everything. When I turned on the power supply from the back the light on the motherboard turned on and when i press the power button nothing showed up! Can anyone help me???

Is the processor or the motherboard dead?

Will the motherboard short circuit the processor?
