Not all memory clocks as well. Similarly, running in DualDDR configuration lowers the overclocking potential of the RAM, and not only can the RAM not run as fast as before, but the timings have to be slower as well. I'm not sure why, but I've seen it happen time and time again. If you go with a higher speed for a slight cost increase, you are almost guaranteeing yourself the results you want.
