Yes, the Asus A7N8X comes with SATA connectors, but not in RAID. It uses the Silicon Image Sil3112 chip.

8-ball: that's not a bad idea, but I think I'll start with the Seagate, and upgrade later, if I need it. Good call.

The thing is, I don't particularly care for WD.
