I run a Laguna Stat3 24/7.

I used to unplug it at night but it makes a horrible buzzing racket when I plug it back in. After about a month of that I decided to just let it run one night to see if the noise would annoy me. Ever since I suspended the pump in the res with its own tubing it doesn't make very much noise at all. So it runs all the time.

Since about 50% of my cooling comes from evaportation there isn't a build up of heat with my PC off. Infact it drops from a stable 31.4°C (water tempature) when my PC is on to 24.8°C everyday while I am at work. It won't go below 24.5°C with the pump running with a room tempature of 21°C.
