the reason why i asked was because i dont think most buying a performance waterblock put weight as a concern. i know people put it as a con but i dont see the weight problem stopping heatsink manufacturers from producing overweight heatsinks. and people dont really care about that fact either as Thermalright SLK800 heatsinks sell very well even though it weighs around 500grams. and with the bigger SLK900 im sure it wont have problems getting recommendations. more people are concerned about the battery effect and the quality of annodizing rather then weight. so i dont think you'll lose sales on copper tops based on weight but rather on the cost of copper.

i've got a Thermalright SLK800 and now its waiting to be replaced by a White Water
