TBredBs at 2250 and 1.9V is a lot of watts from a very small spot. That's why temperatures are high. You may indeed get better results with a thinner base. I don't have the link in front of me right now, but Cathar at the overclockers australia forums tested out several maze type blocks from silverprop with a variety of bases. I am thinking he liked the thinner baseplates but it has been a long time since I read it. I will look around for it in a bit.
