making one is for the healthy insane. ok, the material cost might not be great once you have all the tools.
cheap bench drill: 50$ minimum
drill bits: 10$
taps (m4 & barbs) : 40$
copper bar: 25$/meter
sanding paper/ dremel discs / sealant / barbs / allen screws: 30$ minimum
you might cut some corners here and there, but that is not cheaper than some of the used blocks that can be found here in the FS forum.
if you are a real cheap0 i should recommend finding a used maze2 (of the veterans, who doesn't have one lying around???). it performs about as good as the first 2 - 3 blocks you would make yourself for alot more money. if you would live in belgium i would sell you mine for 20$. heck some ppl would throw it out with the trash after having acquired their WW ;-)
