I remember last time it happened too - back when they were one of the crappiest sites around and they realized everyone hated them, so they claimed a hardware failure as an excuse to change names and leave their past behind. People forgot for a while, and I even saw them get linked from a few respectable sites again, and then they returned again to crappyness. And now, after not hearing anything from them, or seeing a link to them in many many months, they are claiming they were hacked and trying to make a last buck from the public. I wouldn't pay $5.00 for that domain name, let alone $1500.
As for procooling, it would fetch well over $1000000 I would guess, but then again I have no idea how much traffic it does so I could be way off. Back when I ran the server for
www.glideunderground.com (way back when the site was updated more than once a week and stuff was good - around the time when apushardware name-changed to icrontic actually) and before the big internet advertizing crash, we had an offer for $1Mil for GU - that was when advertizing was easy to get and sites always paid for themselves though, and was with around 10K page-views a day. Advertizing isn't worth crap now, but I'm betting procooling does a damn lot more traffic than 10K pages a day.
