Phew!, I was worried , perhaps the zinc molecules get ate away until only copper is exposed, or the oxidisation protects it from further attack?...

It would be the exception to the rule if they were made by the same manufacturer. I've never seen a patern part for a car that's the same quality as an original, and I've never seen an original item sold in a generic autoparts store. Probably is a small/localised industry though. They would never use copper though, it makes no sense :shrug: ...
