He's talking about Bar's Leak or StopLeak, they are made for automotive rad's and rely on the much higher temps to work. I doubt it will work for you. I would try to solder again. If you look in plumbing section of a hardware store they sell a soldering paste. You might be able to put a glob of it over the area and then melt it down. It contains a flux so it should stick pretty well.
