I wouldn't have a problem if the base was the same size width as the socket, but that's not the case. 
jaydee, that's exactly what's happening. The block is so big that when it's positioned, it covers 3 of the tabs/lugs. A conventional hold-down won't work in my case.

The DTek Spiral IS Fixittt's. If it covers the tabs I would say your screwed. You would have to out a sharp bend right at the socket lugs which I don't think would work unless you used somethng thin that will not bend once pressure is applied. Because if it bends it will rise up and hit the bottom of the block and raise it up aswell.
