Ok...shameless plug assist mode /ON
I just ordered fittings for my soon-to-be system. For all you who *want* to use 1/2" ID hosing, these fittings will allow you to keep your 3/8" ID tubing and still reap pretty much all the benefits of the 1/2" stuff.
The one remaining part of my system which won't give me the 100% equivalent of 1/2" ID tubing is my barb fittings on my BigMamas...I'd have to replace those.
So, for all you out there with wimpy pumps
, get rid of those restrictive fittings and allow your pump some room to breath...err, flow....or whatever.
