Newest spec so far
cpu waterblock
1) MCW5000
2) TC-4 Poly Topped Block (AMD, P-4)
3) maze4
4) maze4-1 <-- correct me if i'm wrong but can't i remove coldplate and store it else where untill i decide to use a pelt setup?
GPU waterblock
1) MCW50
2) maze4GPU
3) maze4GPU-1 <-- correct me if i'm wrong but can't i do the same thing here as with the maze 4-1?
pump
this pump looks nice
nice pump
its an 400 some gallon per hour pump for about $30 is it a good buy or would i be better off geting one of those eheim pump?
resvor
I don't know what i want for a resvor, just how good are these
"5 1/4" Bay Reservoir" now i don't want to stick it in my bay so could i optionaly do this.
i could get several steel strap and bolt the sucker to the top of my case, then drill a little hole where u fill up the resvor from, put a sort of pipe out and then put an sort of cap on that and i would be good to go, as far as bleeding and refilling etc.
radator
is this one any good
radator by D-Tek
i probably will buy another shound and attach another 120mm fan to it, anyway there is a 6 harddrive bay on bottom of case with 2x 80mm that i'm going to rip out and cut in a good size hole to stick in an 120mm fan, going to stick the resvor there then the pump probably will be along the side of the case cos its a long one and i only need 1 silot for PCI card which is a tv tuner, and one AGP silot for my video card that's all i need right now anyway.
northbridge cooling
probably will leave it as aircooling because those two decent CFM 120mm fan should bring in enough air to cool off the northbridge
harddrive cooling
plus i don't know i might get harddrive cooler for my harddrive, probably will just stick all 4 in my 5.25 bay and take the 4 little pannel in front drill an 120mm and stick an 120mm fan in for my harddrive cooling or something
hose and other misc items
Tygon TUBING
1/2" ID 3/4" OD
$2.90/ft
1/2 inch worm clamps, and alots of them
three to four 120mm fan, two for radator and two for harddrive and probably blowhole on top?
three to four 120mm fan grid protector
some sort of glue and gloop to seal up my resvor and stuff what is a good brand.
some sort of RAM heatsink for the video card.
am i missing anything?
then for the GPU and CPU keeping in mind furture expansion, will the radator be good enough to handle two pelts?
and also i'm probalby going to go with the maze4, now for the maze4-1 can i just remove the coldplate and i will be able to use it like an regular maze4?
then for the resvor will my idea of bolting the sucker to top of the case work, i'm thinking those strips of steel that you use to secure things or something i can't rember what you call em but just have 2 straps of em on the long side then 2-3 on the short side and bolt that to top of the case tightly so that thing won't be going no where.
keeping in mind for furture expansion with pelts i'm thinking of this setup.
somewhere between the radator and the two waterblock is a Y joint where the cpu water is spit off to the cpu, and the GPU water is spit off to the GPU then on the return line is another Y where they both merge back together would that work? or would i be better off with a serial setup where it goes to cpu then GPU then back to the resvor/pump/radator?
actualy as a matter of fact i might stay with my Pelter cooling idea, i found some VERY good site explaining how to set them up and ive finally found some good document on pelter
