I think your not understanding what I said. You don't have enough room from the CPU to the bottom of the power supply for a 120mm fan at an angle like that on a normal case. And you do realize CPU's these days are not installed like the old Slot versions right? They are mounted flush with the mobo? That why I say your just gong to blow air at the bottom of the power supply (which most do not have a vent there) and will just be recirculating hot air through your heat pipe.

The grey in the modified pic below represents the power supply if it were in a case.
