I've been running the Iwaki MD-15R for about 6 months now. This is a smaller version of the MD-20RLT, 300GPH @ 0 head with a max head of 3.4M (11.1 feet i think). Iwakis do mean business, you can tell when you turn it on as Rome said. I had a 20R but it was too big for my case. The great thing about the 15R is it only consumes 30W of power, just a tad more than the 1250 but has nearly twice the head. Iwaki's get VERY hot on the casing, like burn your hand hot so beware of that. They are very good at not transferring much heat to the water though. I have a new project I am starting, all the pieces are on their way to me. When I do that, I may end up with the MD-20RZT as I will be running multiple rads in this one. Wait till you see this beast.

And I think the best head/watt ratio in the Danner pumps is with the MD3.
