I know the dimensions of all the mounting systems are around here somewhere. Look under the piles of clo...I mean do a search and you'll find them. I can tell you now the block you made is to big. Most GPU blocks are less than 2x2. Any metal will deform slightly when heated. Use a lubricant, WD40 will do but its a pain to get off. This will keep it cool and help the material to get away.
Freezing it would just buy you a few seconds because it would still warm up. If you want to keep it frozen get a can of air(duster), turn it upside down and deepfreeze the sucker.
