You'd do just as well to have an 'open plan' block, get rid of the channels, they'll only cause restriction/head~loss. No cooling improvment(worth mentioning, if any) :shrug: ...

Copper does get 'tacky' when hot. It will grab at the milling bit. Liquid coolant or liberal amounts of WD40 ...
