I posted here. I have a cheiftech/antec (same thing) case. I have an internal heatercore. It must have a fan in this config. The only question I have to you is: If you mount it to the side, where is the airflow going to move through? The case will block it all.

Why not use a fan? Your cooling is going to be directly proportional to the airflow through that rad. That case of yours can hold a rad, you just have to use a drill and pop some rivets and make some holes.
