The server is being geared to be a Media server and one of the largest damn HTPC's you ever have seen
With the AOpen Smart Speed fan setup, the machine is SILENT when its at room temp. The IDE drives barely make a noise (compared to the SCSI setup before and the SCSI in my main rig).
And the server now eats 20% less power than my Dual P3 with a drive tower did. (monay savings)
The G550 was put in since it does excelent TV out, and the mobo is equiped with Optical audio out so I am going to wire it up to my Home theater soon. Via my Harmony remote I am going to control MP3 selections and such.
