I'd left a message for her at work, and she called me back before I had to leave for the afternoon.

After discussing it with her, we decided that I have to many different projects on my plate, and not enough time to do them in. She doesn't see a 'NEED' for this machine, as opposed to a "WANT" for it; and I really couldn't come up with a legit reason to change her mind.

So I'm going to have to take a pass on it for now. If there are remnants left later I might be able to talk her into reconsidering. (One of my many projects involves a box of 4GB drives I was thinking of turning into a software RAID array - if nobody else has any interest in the Mylex card, I might be able to talk her into that for instance)
