i use a 120 watt 24 volt pelt just on a duron 750 @ 1000 and get 27f at idle, but i have alot outside my case, 12v,10 amp/24v 20 amp home made control box. i used 1/4x2x3 cold plate that makes a nice buffer for heat and it can even "soak up" heat for a short time if the pelt gets turned off.
