I was looking over some data for possible addatives. I normally run a solution of 90% water 10% alcohol. The problem I saw was that the alcohol has a lower specific heat than water so it slightly decreases he fficency of my system. The only other 'viable' additive I saw was ammonia. It has a higher specific heat than water and as memory serve its not to healthy for anything organic. The only problem is I thought ammonia was corrosive. However it is used in Cu heatpipes.

So 2 questions. 1) Is ammonia viable as an additive? 2) Is ammonia corrosive and if so how does heatpipe last?
