I have a black edge, a Maze3, and a Maze4. The difference when the bypass is open or closed can be reliably calculated from the resistance of the radiator I'm using (very large) and the summed height of the tower. I get about 1 1/3 gpm when running with the bypass closed, and with it open I'm getting close to 8 gpm total (2 2/3 gpm per block). I've measured the difference in flow to over 6C before when fine tuning my bypass ... but granted, I have quite a unique system. Perhaps due to other considerations as well (such as reservoir heat load balancing, cooling efficiency per flow, and other factors), the situation was heightened in my case. I do know, however, that going from a 500 GPH pump to a 350 GPH pump in a previous rig raised the temps about 2C.

Maybe I should take a look at those graphs again ... I could have sworn those were GPM ... if that's the case then let me pull my hoof out of my piehole. Still, however, it needs to be said that the measurement preference argument is futile, and there is no point trolling posts looking to start an argument.

Oh, and Sol, I'm neither a hick nor a hippy ... I just like my pints the way they are. Screw that half-liter garbage.
