I am no good at this either JayDee, but:

I had a 64mb ddr radeon1, and it was about as fast as my GF2 GTS (maybe a little faster).

The GF4MX400 I think is also around GF3 GTS performance (maybe a bit faster).

So probably all in all they aren't that far apart?

I picked up a 64mb SDR Radeon 7000 a few months ago just because it had S Video out. It's been a pretty good card so far but I honestly haven't run any games other than ROMs on it (it's in my HTPC). My son is bugging me to get a racing wheel lately so we can play racing games; hopefully it'll run those ok.
