I was going to do a quick comparison last night with these two cards. I ran 3Dmark 2001 and 2003, and then the UT2003 benchmark at 800x600 and 1024x768 on the Radeon. Then I pulled the Radeon out unistalling the drivers first (so I thought) and then poping in the GF. Well the GF booted into windows fine before the drivers where installed. I downloaded and installed the newest drivers, rebooted and NOTHING! It would not go into Windows. It kept rebooting itself or just shutting the comp off by itself. I was one

dude at this point as I never seen anything like it. I could get into windows through safe mode so I thought maybe it was a bios settings or something. Well after an hour messing with the bios, resetting defaults, blah blah blah, I gave up, put the Radeon back in and away it went just like before.

So I thought I had a bad card (especially being it was a refurb). being one to not give up so easily I opened up the new A7V8X-X, put the card in it, reformatted a small spare drive, installed Windows fresh, and then loaded up the GF drivers, and it WORKED! Go lord, what does ATI do to sabotage the computer after installing it's card? :shrug:

I tell you what if you select a vid card brand stick with it! Anyway I couldn't run a comparison on the two... Once I get the card setup in the actual gaming system I will rerun the tests on the GF and see what happens. I really like the HS/Fan on this GF. I think I will remove it, apply some Silver compound and use bolts instead of the plastic pins. Later down the road if I see it needs it I will make a WB for it.
